Climbers and Friends:

Mountain Link is busy preparing for the 2003-climbing season, solidifying our reputation as a unique guide service specializing in expeditions no one else provides.  Specifically, we are eyeing new peaks in the Himalaya and South America as expedition possibilities.  Arriving in your mailbox in October, our 2003 brochure will describe all Mountain Link trips in detail, providing you with all the necessary information to choose your trip, get to know our guides, and tie into adventure.

As one might expect, Mountain Link and its guides have been globetrotting the past few months.  Among the highlights:

Ø       For those who have climbed Mt. Rainer and are eager to take the next step in mountaineering, consider our expeditions to Mexico.  Climb Orizaba or Ixta and Orizaba and discover the excitement of an international high-altitude expedition close to home!

Ø       ANTARCTICA! Robert Link is planning Mountain Link’s inaugural expedition to Mt. Vinson, perhaps one of the most intriguing climbs in the world.  If you are interested in this once-in-a-lifetime challenge contact Mountain Link immediately for details.

Ø       The world premiere of Win and Sarah Whittaker’s film, Sherpa: Unsung Heroes at the Seattle International Film Festival.  The film has screened at the Maui Film Festival and the Telluride IndieFest as well.

Ø       A successful Mountain Link expedition to Dhaulagiri led by Robert Link, Mike Lindaas, Jeff Justman, Mike Styllas, and Mike Olson.

Ø       Heidi Eichner’s 100th Summit of Mt. Rainier.  She is one of only four women in the world with this many ascents.

Ø       Robert Link’s 275th Summit of Mt. Rainier.

Ø       Our new website will be up and running by the end of the year!

Ø       In conjunction with Whittaker Productions, Mountain Link will produce video chronicles of certain 2003 expeditions. We will post specific expedition information on our redesigned website.

Ø       Real-time expedition photos and updates via our website.  Keep track of your friends and family!

Ø       Photo CDs of expeditions.
