Dan Windham juggles his time between the Italian and French Alps and Mount Rainier. He has climbed extensively in the Himalaya, Europe and in the Americas. Dan enjoys discovering new and hard-to-reach places tucked in the Italian, French and Swiss Alps, sleeping in warm huts, and trying all the gastronomic specialties of the regions. His idea of a great trip is what he calls "extreme hiking," requiring hiking during the day with the comforts of gourmet meals and hotels or mountain huts at night.
Dan currently resides in Northern Italy with his wife and two children. He is also a Senior Guide for Rainier Mountaineering Inc. in Washington.
