Fred has been climbing mountains all over the world since 1992. He has guided on mountains in Tibet, France, Bolivia, Alaska and Washington. Major summits that he has climbed include Cho Oyu in Tibet, Mount McKinley in Alaska, Illimani and Huayna Potosi in Bolivia and Cotopaxi in Ecuador.
Fred is our lead guide for the Mountaineering Seminars at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort in Utah. His meticulous attention to detail combines with his sense of fun and adventure to make these seminars an outstanding learning experience.
In addition to mountaineering, Fred enjoys whitewater rafting and fly fishing.
Fred is certified as an Emergency Medical Technician, Outdoor Emergency Care Instructor and a Level 2 Avalanche Forecaster from the American Avalanche Institute.
