Tap Richards

A native of New Mexico, Tapley Richards has been a professional mountain guide since 1991. He has reached the summit of Mount Rainier over 125 times. His guiding career has taken him to Nepal, Argentina, Mexico and Alaska. He has led successful expeditions on Cho Oyu, Mount McKinley and Aconcagua, just to name a few.

Rock climbing, surfing, skiing, mountain biking and mountaineering have introduced him to remote places in France, Colorado, California, Utah and New Mexico. Tap was a member of the 1999 and 2001 Mallory & Irvine Research Expedition in Tibet.

When not guiding, Tap lives in Seattle, Washington.
