THE GREAT WHITE DESERT
Mount Vinson: 16,062 feet
The highest peak on Antarctica, Mount Vinson is a worthy destination for anyone interested in experiencing vastness of the southernmost continent. Located in the Ellsworth Mountain Range, the Vinson Massif is a beautiful collage of crust mountains pushed up out of the glacial ice. Its vertical relief and extreme remoteness make this a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Extreme remoteness
This is not a technically demanding expedition - but
Antarctica's extreme climate makes this a challenging peak. Our
expedition starts in Punta Arenas, Chile from where we take a
Russian made Aleutian aircraft to Patriot Hills, Antarctica.
Once on the ice, we are camping and fully self supported.
